My cosplay journey and Hampshire Cosplay for Charity have been quite linked from early on.
I've always been interested in sci-fi and fantasy stories, film and TV and loved dressing up as a small child. As I got older, dressing up became something for the stage or Halloween, but over the last 15 years, the desire to dress up returned as cosplay and nerd culture became more widely accepted.
...online groups I found a local stormtrooper (Andy H) who was also raising money for charity, so I took the plunge, modified a Halloween costume and joined them on their fundraisers. Since then I've collected other sci-fi costumes and now want to start branching out into fantasy settings.
