Petra is relatively new to ‘Cosplay’ but has been wearing fancy dress for charity and fun for years.

"My husband is a huge comic book fan so when he started to get involved in cosplay it was natural for me to join in too.

I love the chance to go out and raise money for charity while having fun. All of our cosplayers enjoy what they do and it really shows when we are out at an event.

Most of the time you will see me in my ewok costume. I also have a tank girl and steampunk street judge but for charity events it is the ewok that raises the most smiles.

For me seeing the reactions of the public is what makes it worthwhile, whether it is a child or an adult when someone comes face to face with a character they love, there is a moment of magic."
